In fact, anyone who doesn’t like this story – for any reason – is hereby excused from reading it. Though, I have to say that a low tolerance for blasphemy or anachronisms would be pretty compelling reasons.

(Maybe you’ll like my upcoming Captain Miracle story better: it has 57% less blasphemy, and it’s anachronism-free.)

Tho I am not a religious person and have not been to church in over 50 years, I still find this strip flippant blasphemy and am uncomfortable with it, even disregarding all the anachronisms. THAT in spite of being a thorough modernist, evolutionist and deist. The only real difference bet me and a freethinker is that I believe in the immortality of the soul.
